No — and that’s by design. Keystone Physicians DPC uses a Direct Primary Care model, which means we work directly for you, not insurance companies. This allows us to spend more time with you, avoid rushed visits, and keep pricing transparent. Insurance is designed for unpredictable, high-cost events, not for ongoing primary care. By removing the insurance barrier, we can keep costs predictable, avoid third-party interference, and maintain a physician-patient relationship based on trust, not coverage rules. You can still use insurance for things like specialist care, hospital stays, or emergency services. Keystone Physicians DPC aims to keep you well and out of urgent cares, ERs, and hospitals with better access and more thoughtful care. We will even provide you with appropriate coding if you’d like to submit lab orders or imaging for insurance coverage.

Starting January 2026, DPC membership will be classified as a qualified medical expense that permits use of HSA funds (limit $150/month per individual and $300/month per family) to cover monthly fees. We recommend checking with your tax advisor to confirm eligibility for use of HSA and FSA funds.

*Medicare: Dr. Owen has formally opted out of Medicare. She is able to take Medicare patients but would not bill Medicare for her fee. We will care for Medicare-eligible patients on a private, out-of-pocket basis after signing a private-pay contract. Ultimately, you would not be reimbursed by Medicare for any expenses at Keystone Physicians DPC (monthly fee, any add-on expenses). You can still use your Medicare benefits for everything else labs, imaging, medications, specialists, and hospital care.

*Medicaid: Keystone Physicians DPC does not bill Medicaid, so your membership would be entirely out-of-pocket and not eligible for reimbursement by Medicaid. You can still use your Medicaid coverage for labs, medications, imaging, specialist care, and hospital visits outside of Keystone Physicians DPC

Yes. Your membership with Keystone Physicians DPC covers all your primary care needs, regardless of your insurance status. Independence from insurance means job changes, network changes, or coverage changes will never break your continuity of care. We will discuss cash pricing for in-house procedures, labs, imaging, and medications. Many of our patients use our care alongside an insurance plan for specialty care, hospital stays, or emergency services.

Even with great insurance, most patients still struggle with long waits, rushed visits, and hidden costs. Keystone Physicians DPC offers increased access to your personal physician, including varied direct communication (email, phone, and portal messages), extended visit times, and availability for appointments in days instead of weeks. Pricing transparency allows you to cost-compare across insurance, independent labs/imaging/pharmacies, and in- house offerings. Our comprehensive approach strengthens the physician-patient relationship, helping you achieve whole-body health while avoiding disconnected specialist referrals. And because you can be seen quickly, small issues are managed before they become bigger problems — reducing complications, hospital visits, and missed time from work or daily life.

If you need specialty care, we’ll coordinate your referral and provide your specialist with your medical information so your care is seamless. Hospital stays and specialist visits are billed through insurance or paid directly to those providers.

Not exactly. Both DPC and concierge care focus on accessibility and strong doctor-patient relationships, but DPC is generally more affordable, with a simple flat monthly fee instead of high annual retainers.

Most of your day-to-day and preventive healthcare needs are included, including annual wellness exams, sick visits, chronic disease management, minor procedures, and lifestyle medicine support. We also offer wholesale pricing on medications, labs, and imaging, when possible.

Your monthly membership covers:

  • Unlimited in-person and virtual visits
  • Longer, unrushed appointments
  • Direct access to your physician via phone, email, or text
  • Preventive care and lifestyle counseling
  • Chronic disease management
  • Coordination of specialist care when needed
  • Transparent pricing with no surprise bills

No. At Keystone Physicians DPC, we believe that great care starts with a strong, respectful relationship between doctor and patient. Dr. Owen is committed to being highly responsive to your needs, responding quickly during regular business hours. If you need to be seen, we can almost always arrange a same-day or next-business-day appointment for acute concerns.

That said, no doctor can truly be available 24/7 — and to provide you with the best care possible, Dr. Owen also needs time to recharge with her own family. We ask that non-urgent concerns wait until office hours, and we will review exactly how to reach Dr. Owen for urgent issues after hours once you enroll.

For truly urgent needs that cannot wait until the next business day, Dr. Owen will be available to guide you on next steps. For everything else, we’ll connect promptly during business hours to give your concern the full attention it deserves. As always, for medical emergencies it is best to call 911.

In traditional offices, doctors often care for thousands of patients, limiting the time they can spend with each person and the understanding they can build of a patient’s specific needs. At Keystone Physicians DPC, we limit the number of patients we see so we can offer same-day or next-day visits, longer appointments, and a truly personalized experience.

We’re not bound by rushed schedules, insurance billing codes, or network restrictions. We intentionally care for only a few hundred patients at a time — instead of thousands — so we have the time to listen, understand, and collaborate with you. Your physician is your foundation for health, not a revolving door of providers.

When you have a physician who knows you well, you can spot health issues earlier, make better lifestyle changes, and manage chronic conditions more effectively. It’s like building your health on a strong foundation — the relationship and trust we build today supports your health for years to come.

We would like to partner to maintain the health you have and optimize any areas you value (sleep, energy, stress, movement, libido, etc). We can work with you to analyze your habits, routines, and barriers and establish a healthier you.

Yes. For less than $100/month, — you get direct access to a physician who knows you and can handle 80-90% of your healthcare needs.

Skip the rushed visits, long waits, and surprise bills. Avoiding just one costly urgent care or ER trip often covers your entire yearly membership. Many members pair DPC with low-cost insurance or a health sharing plan for full protection.

The truth? Delayed care costs more — in money, time, stress, and health.

At Keystone Physicians DPC, we view vaccines as one of the most effective tools for preventing serious illnesses and protecting the most vulnerable members of our community. We fully support the safety and effectiveness of vaccines and recommend following the schedules set by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). These guidelines are grounded in decades of research, rigorous evidence, and expert consensus.

We also recognize that every family’s journey is unique. While some practices dismiss families who delay or decline vaccines, we believe everyone deserves a trusted medical home—not exclusion. We welcome open, respectful conversations, take the time to address questions and concerns, and provide evidence-based guidance so parents feel heard, informed, and supported in making decisions about their own and their family’s health. We’re happy to discuss spacing or concerns and will document a shared plan

We care for patients of all ages — from newborns to seniors. Our approach is comprehensive, proactive, and adaptable to each stage of life. Simply fill out our contact form, and we’ll contact you with pre-enrollment details, introductory pricing, and next steps.
